Andrew Lewin
Ocean Communications Manager
Andrew Lewin is a marine biologist and science communicator with over 15 years of experience helping ocean conservation organizations tell the stories that matter most. Specializing in podcasts and video as tools for communicating ocean science and conservation, Andrew has built a career at the intersection of rigorous science and public engagement, translating complex research into content that moves audiences from awareness to action.
He is the founder of Speak Up for Blue Media and Communications and the host of the How to Protect the Ocean podcast, one of the most recognized independent voices in ocean advocacy media. Through weekly episodes featuring scientists, conservationists, and practitioners, Andrew has spent years demonstrating that compelling communication is one of the most powerful tools in the ocean conservation toolkit.
At Pisces Ocean Inc., Andrew brings that expertise directly to ocean-focused organizations, developing the narratives, communication strategies, and media frameworks they need to amplify their impact, connect with funders, and build the audiences their missions deserve. Andrew is based in Burlington, Ontario.
